Due to its extraordinary softness and lightness, bamboo fabric is becoming increasingly popular in the fashion world.
The yarns used by our company are made in the East, the natural home of this fascinating plant known in Europe only in 1860 thanks to an exhibition in Paris.
Even today, bamboo still takes on meanings of moral integrity, endurance, modesty and loyalty in Eastern culture and used as an auspicious gift on special occasions such as weddings, house and company openings.
Its yarn is obtained through a gentle and environmentally friendly process, which begins with the harvesting of bamboo fibers without the need to uproot the plants, which retain the ability to grow thriving by regenerating in a very short time.
The production process mainly involves the woody part of the bamboo, which is in our case certified according to the rigorous environmental, social and economic standards of the FSC®, which guarantees the use of raw materials from properly and responsibly managed plantations.
In addition, our yarns are OEKO-TEX® certified, guaranteeing the total absence of harmful and toxic substances to the skin.
Once the yarns arrive in Italy, they are checked and fed into the weaving process, which takes place a few kilometers from our company in Florence.
The looms used run on compressed air and energy sourced entirely from renewable sources, ensuring zero environmental impact.
For each loom used, we are able to produce about 400 meters of fabric per day, which is wrapped around a cardboard tube to be used in subsequent stages and handled precisely in "piece" or roll form.
Once produced, the bamboo fabric is ennobled through gentle washing and/or steaming to be ready for printing.

Our production chain is located within a 20 km radius of our headquarters in Calenzano, Florence, following the KM 0 concept.
