Bamboo fiber is an environmentally friendly and sustainable choice because bamboo is a plant that grows quickly, regenerates quickly and requires less water than other plants. In addition, the characteristics of bamboo fiber are many: it is hypoallergenic, antibacterial, and thermoregulating, thus suitable for all seasons.

In fact, during hot weather bamboo fabric has the ability to absorb the moisture generated by skin sweat while in winter it captures body heat, releasing it gradually, thus allowing a thermo-regulatory action. Thanks to all these properties it is highly valued when used on clothing and fashion accessories in contact with the skin.

Innbamboo the Original has always been able to recognize in this fiber the potential to obtain good products by opting for an ethical choice and not only an aesthetic one. Our fabrics are made within a short and certified supply chain within a radius of 20 km from Florence.

Foulard Bamboo Art

Foulard Bamboo Art was the first line of scarves designed and made by our company. A soft, light and durable fabric that through its prints pays homage and represents the artistic style of the protagonists of the history of art, through the different decorations that distinguish our scarves.

The idea we have been pursuing for years is to be inspired by beauty and nature. Art is certainly one of the forms of expression most capable of best conveying emotions through a language, in our case visual, common to all.

When we choose the designated artist to represent us in a season, we select him or her based on the need to discover details and narrate certain content. The decoration that is made sometimes captures the detail of a work that is reworked, creating only a suggestion of the work itself. Other times it is just a tribute to the pictorial art of a particular artist, taking its cue from the color range of his paintings, his peculiar characteristics.

The works we consider are usually the lesser known, the less inflated, perhaps concerning a certain period of that artist, in order to study him and make him known in other aspects as well.
There is a great historical and technical research behind each of our choices. Art pushes us to investigate in a world made of colors, shapes, thoughts that enrich first of all ourselves and hopefully also those who appreciate our scarves. It is interesting to understand what is the process of transposing what we have conceived and designed, onto the fabric.

The pattern is first made by hand on paper, with certain measurements, following an artisanal approach that harkens back to times gone by.
Later, in the print shop it is broken down into its colors, and for each of them a transparency (transparent sheet) is created with the relevant outline in black. Each transparence will be engraved on a microperforated metal cylinder. The machine prints by means of these cylinders on each of which a part of the pattern destined for a color is engraved.

These slide rotating on the fabric fixed on a mat releasing the color, which pass after pass will go to make up the design. Once the printing is finished, the design will have to be dried and fixed by means of heat through the use of a special machine. The colors we use are all certified and guaranteed to meet the strictest European standards. This technique by which we traditionally make our scarves has been in vogue since about 1960 and is called "rotary printing."

Over the years we have ranged between various pictorial styles: from macro flowers, to geometries, to abstract decorations with brushstrokes that are sometimes more gestural, sometimes more didactic. What is important is that we have managed to express ourselves not only according to the dictates of fashion, but also to our creative path inspired by our feelings.

Wearing an Innbamboo scarf from this line is like carrying a piece of our art, a way to transform the everyday into something extraordinary and special.
